Legal information

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern website enquiries, reservations and vehicle rentals with Amera Rent a Car. Your signed rental agreement and written booking confirmation form part of these terms.

Last updated: 20 July 2026

1. Eligibility and documents

The renter and every approved additional driver must meet the age and driving-experience requirements confirmed at booking and provide valid identification, visa or residency documents, and a driving licence accepted in the UAE. Tourists may also require an international driving permit.

2. Enquiries, reservations and availability

A website or WhatsApp enquiry is not a confirmed booking. A reservation becomes confirmed only after Amera Rent a Car accepts it in writing and any required booking payment is received. Vehicle models are subject to availability; if the selected model becomes unavailable, we may offer a comparable vehicle or a refund of the applicable booking payment.

3. Prices, payment and deposit

Quoted prices are based on the vehicle, rental period, mileage allowance, delivery location and selected protection package. Any security deposit, advance payment, taxes, delivery fee or additional charge will be disclosed before confirmation. The renter is responsible for authorised charges arising under the rental agreement.

4. Permitted vehicle use

Only approved drivers may operate the vehicle. The vehicle must be used lawfully and responsibly and must not be used for racing, towing, off-road driving, sub-rental, illegal activity, driving outside permitted areas, or transporting prohibited goods. Smoking and other restricted uses may result in cleaning or damage charges.

5. Fuel, mileage, Salik and fines

The vehicle must be returned with the agreed fuel level and within the included mileage allowance. The renter is responsible for excess mileage, fuel shortages, Salik tolls, parking fees, traffic fines, impound costs and disclosed administration charges incurred during the rental period, including amounts received after the vehicle is returned.

6. Insurance, accidents and damage

Insurance and the renter's liability depend on the selected package and rental agreement. Any accident, damage, theft or warning light must be reported immediately. The renter must follow police and insurer requirements, obtain the required police report, and must not arrange repairs without written approval.

7. Rental period, extension and return

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time, date, location and condition. An extension requires prior written approval and payment. Late return, unauthorised extension, excessive cleaning, missing items, new damage or failure to refuel may result in additional charges described in the rental agreement.

8. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellations and refunds are handled under our Refund Policy and any special terms shown in the booking confirmation. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable UAE law.

9. Website information and liability

We aim to keep vehicle, price and availability information accurate, but website content may change and does not replace the final written quotation or rental agreement. To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Liability that cannot lawfully be excluded remains unaffected.

10. Privacy, law and changes

Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy. These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and disputes are subject to the competent UAE courts. We may update these website terms; the version accepted with a confirmed booking applies to that rental.
